Preparation to GCSE exams...

Preparation to GCSE exams, Cambridge House Community College.

Their projects are sent to England as well as the final exams... Pupils spend most of the time cleaning up and rearranging their portfolios.

Olympic Mascot Design

Olympic Games in London 2012

This is Y 10 's project. Students had to come up with  their own mascot for the Olympic Games in London, 2012. After a week of brainstorming and thinking of possible and imaginary animals, students came up with their own logo. Here are displayed some colour trials.

Lines
These artworks are some of Year 7 studies on lines. They represent the way in which  students thought about lines within a space and how they experimented new techniques such as printing, lino-print and pattern making. Students have been researching artists such as Ayaka Ito, Steven Natanson and have studied Futurism as a movement. They have also explored some work of Architecture and have created a Paper City. The final idea was to come up with a 3-D piece that incorporates lines.

Art Clubs

Art Club Projects at Caxton and Cambridge House Community College.
These projects were small and for pure fun. Still, students came up with very good ideas. We worked a lot on pop-ups and 3-D paper models.

Year 7 - Ton Schulten 's Panel

Year 7 _ Ton Schulten Panel
This artworks  is the development of a projects on lines. Students, after having practised how to use watercolour in relation to lines, had to do some research on the Dutch painter Ton Shulten. Pupils had to produce a critical analysis of the artist´s work and, consequently, had to create a landscape design (a view from their home´s window) using the artist´s technique.
